ABOUT US

More than just a “jewelry shop”, House of Love and Luck’s has been a secret treasure chest for celebrities, stylists, personal shoppers, studio wardrobe and costume departments. The gem of a space has a museum-like quality – each piece on display is carefully curated by the boutique’s owner, Ricki Miller, who has always had a passion for unearthing treasures from the past. She scours estate sales and vintage markets all over the world, to provide her clients with a wide range of 19th and 20th century necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings, in styles from Victorian to Art Deco to Glam – always keeping her inventory and styling advice ahead of the trend curve.
In its first year of business, the boutique’s pieces have been donned by television and film stars at Paramount, Warner Bros. and ABC studios. The boutique, and/or certain pieces from its collection, has also been featured in the Los Angeles Times, 944 Magazine, Women’s Wear Daily, Dazed and Confused, and Teen Vogue to name just a few.
In an effort to continually offer something different to both new and returning clients, Miller’s collection changes on a regular basis. Miller follows her innate design instinct when picking pieces or styling clients; she always seems to know what is cool, what is over, and what will always be a classic. Each piece of vintage jewelry in Miller’s collection is not only one-of-a-kind – like its eventual owners – but is also eco-friendly, due to its inherent “recycled” nature. The boutique’s price-points range from incredibly affordable, to spoil-me-rotten luxurious; there is something for everyone in the House of Love and Luck.
The boutique’s richly-hued, boudoir setting provides the perfect backdrop to the personal attention and care that Miller affords each of her clients. As well as tips on buying and styling with vintage jewelry, Miller also gives advice on caring for the jewelry, and the boutique offers professional repair and modification services.
Adding to House of Love and Luck’s appeal as a destination, more so than just a “shop”, is the focus of co-owner and Los Angeles bar impresario, Jared Meisler. Meisler has also been responsible for the success of venues such as Bar Lubitsch, Bar Marmont and The Roger Room.
Ricki Miller is available for interviews and/or comment, as well as public speaking opportunities, as a style and vintage jewelry expert.
House of Love and Luck is located at 370.5 N. La Cienega Boulevard (La Cienega Boulevard and Oakwood Avenue), Los Angeles, CA 90048.
